Everyone wants to start with the features. The CRM. The email engine. The AI layer. Before any of that, there are two weeks of work nobody wants to talk about: runtime version, hosting stack, theme architecture, and security baseline. Getting it wrong means everything built on top is compromised.
The Anchor build started with a WordPress site on PHP 7.4 — end-of-life since November 2022. No real CDN. No WAF. Listing pages loading in 745 seconds. Phase 0 was a foundation fix, not a feature build. Four decisions made in two weeks produced a 4× throughput improvement before any application code changed. That's this module.
Each lesson documents one decision: the situation, what was done, why it matters, and what the Anchor build produced.
